My name is Junaid (rhymes with grenade) and I teach an Advanced Placement English Language and Composition course. I’m also a journalist in the high-tech industry – I work for a partner contributor to the Toronto Star. I’m also writing a novel but we can talk about that once it’s published.
In this blog you will get my five years of experience as an AP Language teacher, chipmunk style. I’ve got tips on how to be a better writer and persuader, and of course, how to prepare for the exam.
I’m also into do-it-yourself stuff and travel, so maybe you’ll find a bit of that here too.
In a world where everyone is a writer, the AP English Language and Composition course offers a rare opportunity for students to truly hone their skills the way writers of older eras did – I’m talking eras where writing was more an art form to be mastered than a mere tool to communicate (today, for the most part, it’s a tool).
So let me be your guide into writing the old world way.
